One way or the other.

one way or the other
used to say that it does not matter which one of two possibilities happens,
is chosen or is true.

“one way or the other”を直訳すると、
「1つの方法かもう1つの方法で」という意味になり、そこから、
（2つのうちの）「どちらにしろ」「どちらでも」「いずれにせよ」
という意味になります。
これと似たような表現で、“One way or another.”という表現があります。

“one way or another”を直訳すると、
「1つの方法か別の方法で」という意味になり、そこから、
「何とかして」「どうにかして」「あれこれやって」「あれやこれやで」
などという意味になります。
“one way or another”という表現では、
選択肢がいくつかあって、その中から選べるのに対し、
“one way or the other”という表現では、
選択肢が2つだけという違いがありますね。
とは言っても、“one way or the other”を「何とかして」「あれやこれやで」
という意味で用いる場合もあるようなので、
そんなに厳密に区別して用いられているわけではないかもしれませんが・・・
“We could go out to eat or order take-out.
I don’t mind one way or the other.”
「外食をしてもいいし、テイクアウトを注文してもいいよ。
僕はどちらでも構わないよ」
