「ほかにもっといい人がいるよ」
there are many other people or things that are as good as the one
somebody has failed to get

“There are plenty of fish in the sea.”を直訳すると、
「海にはたくさんの魚がいる」という意味になりますが、そこから、
「ほかにもっといい人がいるよ」「まだチャンスはいくらでもあるよ」
などという意味になります。
一般的に、チャンスを逃がした人を慰めるときに、
「まだチャンスはいくらでもあるよ。だから、あきらめないで」
という感じで用いられますが、
最近では、特に、失恋して落ち込んでいる人を慰めるときに、
「ほかにもっといい人がいるよ。だから、落ち込まないで」
という感じで用いられていますね。
また、
“There are plenty of other fish in the sea.”
“There are plenty more fish in the sea.”
などと言うこともあります。
“My boyfriend and I broke up last month.”
「先月、恋人と別れたの」
“Don’t worry, there are plenty of fish in the sea.”
「大丈夫、ほかにもっといい人がいるわよ」
